Lynn Cuny has been a contributor to the research process since 2019, through participating in numerous interviews, a virtual dialogue, and reviewing draft content for the book manuscript Beloved Economies.

Lynn Cuny, Deputy Director, Thunder Valley Community Development Corporation (TVCDC)

Lynn is an enrolled member of the Crow Creek Sioux Tribe (Hunkpati Dakota) and Oglala Lakota. She is committed to the progress of building opportunities, the movement of systematic change and the sustainability of TVCDC community as Deputy Director. Lynn obtained her Master of Arts degree in Lakota Leadership and Management from Oglala Lakota College. Her undergraduate degrees include Lakota Studies, Fine Art, and Early Childhood Development. Her Lakota name is Oyate Waokiyanwin- She Helps Her People. Lynn has been a traditional dancer her entire life, and an artist. She is dedicated to healing and working toward a liberated Lakota nation.

Jaclyn Gilstrap

Jaclyn Gilstrap (she/her/hers) is an activist whose work has focused on supporting women and young people to get the resources they need. She is committed to things like sexual and reproductive rights, racial justice, youth leadership, and ethical global engagement. Jaclyn dabbles in visual art, loves a good queer dance party, and believes in the power of community-led protests. Her strengths are event planning, organizational development, and youth mentorship.
