Kelley Buhles

Kelley is a practitioner of participatory grantmaking, community-led funding models and integrated capital. She works with funders to design and embed participatory practices into their grantmaking and investing in order to transfer power to the communities receiving funding, creating collaboration and community in the process.

Kelley envisions a world where power and wealth are shifted to communities. She believes that philanthropic capital has a reparative role to play, both for donors and communities, in the transition to a regenerative economy. She is interested in creating and supporting collaborative governance and financial models that center community wealth building.
