Lead, Narrative-Testing Research

Jaclyn Gilstrap (she/her) is a community connector, group facilitator, birth doula, and artist whose work is rooted in deep listening.

With Beloved Economies, Jaclyn has played many roles, including conducting narrative testing interviews, copy-editing text for the Beloved Economies website, consulting on the book’s imagery, and even leading a website re-design.

Outside of Beloved Economies, Jaclyn is an independent consultant, podcast co-creator, and Co-Director of the visual note-taking/graphic recording firm, A Visual Approach.

Her background is in global reproductive rights, LGBTQ rights, rape crisis support, ethical global engagement, and racial equity. She speaks Spanish, English and Azerbaijani.

Jaclyn and her cat live in North Carolina with their beloved community and medium successful garden.

Jaclyn Gilstrap (she/her/hers) is an activist whose work has focused on supporting women and young people to get the resources they need. She is committed to things like sexual and reproductive rights, racial justice, youth leadership, and ethical global engagement. Jaclyn dabbles in visual art, loves a good queer dance party, and believes in the power of community-led protests. Her strengths are event planning, organizational development, and youth mentorship.
